Ten faith-based organisations were awarded special fund grants by the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and the Third Sector during a media launch today at One Barbados Place, Warrens.

In his remarks, Minister responsible for the Third Sector, Colin Jordan, disclosed the 10 awardee organisations were:

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgetown
Gospel Lighthouse United Holy Church of America Inc.
Melchisedec Ministries
Drug Education and Counselling Services
Kingdom First International Church Inc.
Combined Faith Christian Sports Evangelism Ministry
New Testament Church of God
Methodist Church of Barbados
Kingdom Life Ministries
East Caribbean Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists

In June, faith-based organisations across Barbados were encouraged to submit proposals for funding under the 2026 Faith-based Organisations Special Fund Grant Facility.

The facility provides $5 million annually, with funding distributed across the four quarters of the financial year. Grants are available to faith-based organisations that are advancing the sustainable development and empowerment of young people. Funding will support projects that align with national development priorities and contribute to building resilient communities.
