The Labour Department will be hosting Occupational Safety and Health Week 2017 from July 2 – 8, 2017.
During July 3 – 5 from 8:30-4:30 p.m. daily, there will be a number of free seminars at the Accra Beach Hotel and Spa, Hastings, Christ Church under the theme “Safe Workplaces are Productive Workplaces”. Topics include Violence at Work; OSH as a Competitive Advantage; Factors Affecting Productivity in the Workplace; Risk Assessment for Vulnerable Groups and Drug Testing in the Workplace; Indoor Air Quality.
The Labour Department is also encouraging all work places to organise their own OSH awareness events. Feel free to notify the Department of your plans.
Persons interested in attending the seminars must pre-register with the Labour Department. The deadline for the registration for the seminars is June 23, 2017.
