Who Can Apply?
Job Start Plus is designed for young people who:
- 16 to 24 years or up to 34 years for young people with disabilities
- Are ready to enter the workforce
- Are currently unemployed
- Are not enrolled in education or training
- Want support to build skills and gain work experience
- Need guidance in planning their career path

More on the WOW Training
Job Start Plus delivers WOW training all throughout the year in three cycles, Jan to March, May to July and September to November. During these cycles, training is conducted monthly from Monday to Friday, typically from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The training ranges from employment guidance and support, work readiness and life skills to core competencies identified by employers as critical for success in the workplace. Training topics include:

• Goal Setting and Planning

The training also provides opportunities for employers and successful Job Starters to deliver testimonials about their personal and professional journey.
Various education and training institutions are also invited to promote the various educational and training options available in an effort to inform the young persons’ career planning.
