The Scotland District is by far the most beautiful part of Barbados, attracting hundreds of tourist daily and the people of the Scotland District deserves better roads.
The Scotland District is Barbados’ opportunity to put its Eco-Tourism project on the market, if only the roads were better. The streams teeming with crayfish and the beautiful views are just a few of what this area has to offer. In St. Lucia and Martinique and other parts of the Caribbean where Ec0-tourism is a vital part of their economies, the roads are kept in good repair. We need to do this for our lovely country.
The people of Dark Hole and White Hill are taxpayers too, we need our roads fixed. The Soil Conservation is designated as the instrument for keeping the soil in this area stable, they can use gabions as they have over the years to stabilize these roads and plant ficus around the ridges and pandanas closer to the gullies to help stabilize the soil.
The people of Dark Hole are suffering severely with children and older people having to walk lonesome roads because there is no bus system since the road is broken down. We are looking forward to the government showing some concern for the people and getting the road fixed as soon as possible.
Sincerely
Jeuule
