Transportation load on the bus system can be helped/reduced by allowing people to buy small cars/vehicles  cheaper/ CHEAP, and have them to maintain their cars and reduce the governments maintenance on the bus system ,

It is what a lot of Cities away do , it also reduces other items also . eg. Traffic ,Gas, 

Change the Duty on small vehicles/car to allow more lower income person to buy cars to get to work,school supermarket etc.

When I mean small car/vehicle I mean a vehicles  with an engine 1000cc or smaller lower the import duty to like 25% to encourage these vehicles, the same can be done for motorcycles to 125cc road bikes.

The smaller the cars, the cheaper the cars are, the cheaper the replacement parts for these cars are also for the owner to maintain. Instead of maintenance on the buses.

There are Companies out there that will benefit from this also but that will be good for the island , Salesmen can drive a small car all day instead of the bigger gas users or the big 3000cc diesel vans being used .

Understand  I am meaning a small cheaper produced car from a manufacture with a gas engine 1000cc or smaller  as the controlling factor and not an expensive electric or diesel car that consumers less gas but way more expensive.

There are a lot of car companies that produce 1000cc and smaller cars the newer ones are 3cyl engines that are also very gas efficient. 

Item (2) 

The Buses 

The maintenance  program on the buses  is not good, the ZR/ZM buses check their buses every week and change parts when needed not when they break down .

Older Buses are being installed with new engines/ engine parts costing lots of money and not replacing the auxiliary parts that need replacing like New Radiator, new radiator hoses and pipes that are also years old,

and then a hundred dollar part breaks and damages a thousands of dollars engine. 

Driver training  to the drivers understand,identify and explain the issues better to the mechanical shop will allow reported small issues to be repaired before they become hugh issues. 

So the temperature guage rising over normal in one day can be reported and not driven for days to the bus stops and then needs a new engine.
