Good Morning,

I have a solution for the Barbados Licencing Authority

Instead of having the Licence reprinted every year or every 5 years,

Why not progress with Technology, we can use our 10-digit Barbados ID number as a Bar code and as we pay, we slide it into the machine and it will make the Bar code valid for how ever long again.

This will also require the police, who are checking to have a portable device to check the Licence.

Please let us not pretend that the technology doesn't exist. I am sure Ticket pal uses something very similar at fetes.

This will reduce the amount of time we will be spending trying to get our Licence reprinted.  There is no way in the year 2018, we should be waiting 2 hours for our Licence to be printed. The only reason we should be going there is for a few reasons. For new issue, for updates to the Licence or if it is misplaced and you require a new one.

Thank you,

Best regards,

Neil Forde

For Licensing Authority/ Ministry of Transport & Works.

It's a humongous waste of time that all 80 -100 000 drivers need to drive and queue up to collect a sticker at BRA.

Since having valid insurance is a prequisite let the insurance companies request x stickers per week or per month and mail them with insurance certificate or  or have them collected if policy holder comes in for inaurance certificate.

This next idea is not mine it was touted to me by Jimmy McCollin.

Since the Postal Service is seeking relevancy in modern times, more of the services such as paying licences, registration fees etc should be made available at the district post offices. This would lighten the load at the centralized locations, make it easier for citizens and also reduce the carbon footprint of someone driving from St. Lucy to Holetown or Bridgetown.

Regards
