The mention of 'Barbados' in many film scripts. This form of branding as seen by Jamaica is extremely productive and placed the island's name on everybody's tongue.
An example of this at work is as follows:
a) a hotelier is approached to offer a 5-7 night all inclusive stay in his hotel.
(great advertising for him.)
b) The ministry offers 'spending money' (anonymously of course)
c) An airline sponsor is approached.
This entire package (5-7 nights, airfare inclusive + spending money) appears as the featured prize on the Price is Right and several other 'game shows' aired worldwide that cater to an older audience. The exposure alone will increase Barbados marketability and further help to Brand Barbados as a desirable destination.
