I'm an airport worker and I find that there is a need for an area to facilitate the passengers that have long layovers where they can leave their luggage while they take in some of the island. We usually have passengers that would come in on early morning flights to leave for their final destination sometime late in the evening and these passengers always enquire if there is anywhere where they can leave their luggage while they take in some of the island. I know that it may be a security risk but I believe the airport owns the land right across the street , can a facility not be built where Frankie's bar was to accommodate these passengers ?   most likely  they would spend some foreign currency with us which is much needed , I know it won't be an easy task as there would have to be a scanner in place but it would payoff in the long run, a fee would be charge for said service.
