On arrival to the island last Saturday, I noticed that in the area while waiting in line for immigration there were billboards advertising a variety of things, first things all the ads were with white people, this is a predominantly Black Island.

I did think it would be a good idea to have a few large display screens showing local activities and upcoming events.

It should be things as simple as a school fair, club and school cricket,  Q in the community,  oistins festival, horse racing, fish fry etc.

I work at the airport and on arrival most clients would me ask what there is to do locally , I've even been asked about local cricket games.

I believe that this service should be offered free to the public, they can send in a flyer or email with the details of their activity to have it displayed on the screens in arrivals.

Thank you

Gooday,

I was watching CNN News and I observed a short feature called Sixty Second Vacation -Travel Guide. It’s a one minute Ad which is aired between the news breaks and it highlights a Country as a travel destination . Not sure about the process but it seems like a good opportunity to promote Barbados. Hope this helps.

I agree this would be a great idea. In the Nation today.

Zievinger was speaking to the MIDWEEK NATION at an event at Sandals Royal where 19 radio stations from across the United States broadcast live about Barbados to millions back in their country.

This is how Sandals builds hotels and fills them. Advertising. We don't do nearly enough. Hire me to work at the Barbados Market company as chairman or CEO or something. I'll fill every hotel in BIM.
