We can turn old buses into one to three bedroom mobile homes depending on the configuration.
By using our Polytechnic with it's various skilled divisions we could retrofit the buses and turn them into trailer homes. Eg: North America's mobile home parks.
This will assist with temporary housing.

This could actually be a tourism product.
We can have several parks established around the island and the visitor can come to the island and book a trailer/bus. They then travel around the island; stopping and sleeping over at the various spots over their one of two week stay.
Since the buses are untethered, it would generate sales and economic activity in the solar power industry generating power for the bus.
This works well with the idea I submitted over a week ago posted under Tourism and International Transport > Trekking - A New Tourism Concept. Here is a link: https://labour.gov.bb/ideas4barbados/tourism-and-international-transport/trekking-a-new-tourism-concept/
I imagine a number of mobile home parks not only in Barbados, but around some of the neighbouring islands such as St. Vincent, St. Lucia & Grenada. The ferry service which has been all talk so far is what is needed to connect the islands.
I don't live in Barbados anymore but I do remember there were a group of guys who were making minibuses from older buses. They can not only start building Recreational Vehicles(RVs)/mobile homes, but get it advertised to visitors to the islands.
