Hello to whoever is reading this. Hopefully you believe in right over wrong. The ideas I'm about to give you is towards the justice system. It and the people involved has not been kind to me over the years, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
* when I call or go to the police station assigned to my district about any serious matter, ongoing or otherwise, and no police officer takes my grievances seriously nor come to aid, I should be free to call or go to another station until an officer deals with my grievances with all fairness.
*When seeking a protection order against anyone who has done or is causing you physical harm
is stocking you
threatens your life
sexual harassment, assault, abuse or rape from the court, and the judge refuses to give one, you should have the right to take your case to another court and have one done right there and then.(the judge should also let the person know that the protection can be renewed should the need arise)
* when someone gives the police consent to have someone prosecuted for any crime (on the grounds that he or she can), and the officer refuses to take that case to court, he and anyone else involved should be immediately terminated.
*there should also be punishment for officers (or judges) who seek to exploit a victim's situation. Like for example. Agreeing to have relations with an officer in order to have my grievances met. If I refuse, no aid will come to me should the need arise.
*when someone is sexually assaulted and or harassed at work, then fired without pay because he or she refuses to have sex with the employer, they should still have a right to a fair trial and the money they're owed. Whether they have the paperwork to prove it. Proof from employees that the person did work for the employer, public private or self employed, should be grounds for a trial. In which the employer compensates for the victim. If he or she (the employer) does not, the compensation would still be paid along with jail time.
* in circumstances where the abuser and the victim live in the same home, and the victim calls the police, the police should not allow the abuser back into the house until after two weeks with an immediate protection order. If the abuser refuses to comply (and with the help of family members) he or she should spend up to a year in prison. With a fine as penalty to those who helped him or her. If this law is already in place, then the officers do not enforce it.
*corrupt cops can be identified by their badge numbers or facial recognition when they fail to enforce the law.
*cases should not take more than a month to be heard in court. Also, if this has not been done already, a family court, a court for assault and rape cases, etc.
*if a child is sexually assaulted, raped or injured by a bully or bullies in a fight at school, and does not have the support of the parents or guardian, he or she should be free to choose an adult to accompany him to seek the proper punishment to the perpetrator(s). If not dealt with properly or neglected by principal and or teachers, would result in temporary suspension.
*rules of the safehouse for abused women should be obeyed by all. There should be absolutely no favouritism from heads of the organization towards anyone under their care, where a select few are allowed to do as they like; including bullying. Any threats or form of criminal activity should be notified to the police from those in charge, after the victim brings her grievances to their attention. If they ignore her, she should have the right to bring it to higher authority herself before taking it to the police.
*The right to sue anyone (including but not limited to neighbors, friends, family) for harassment, or aiding and abetting person(s) in causing you physical harm or distress. If they so wish. In which compensation would be made and the person(s) are not allowed to go near the victim any longer.
I’ll gladly meet with you or a representative of someone you trust, to share my personal experiences with the justice system of this country, should you feel the need to.. Thank you for taking the time to read this email.
