Social workers should be made aware of senior citizens left in hospital for extended periods after recovery. Make use of whatever property they possess to take proper care of them.  These should not be left to the family that has abandoned them.

The hospital and clinic data platform for reporting should be uniformed. For example if I visit a polyclinic today and have to be admitted to hospital several days later my notes should be accessible online. Tests results, x-rays, scans, medications etc.  This should improve the timely access to information in a fast, simple and secure way. It should not take months to complete these simple tasks.  With this will come data protection issues – employees should be made aware that accessing patient records without a valid reason comes with immediate dismissal.  Information of this nature is not to be shared with outsiders such as google.  There is actually a need for a total reorganisation of the healthcare system.
