[Implemented] Alternative Payment of NIS contributions for overseas persons

Would it not be possible to pay the NIS directly instead of through a third party over which you have no control?

Lets take a look at the NIS payment facility.... I have been trying to pay contributions on-line for several days prior to the monthly deadline of the 15th but the EZ-Pay system has been down and is still not functioning. To quote the message on their portal website on 2018.06.13 ..."The EZ-Pay system is down so payments cannot be made online".

As I am not presently on the island I can not do as they suggest and go to a cashier!

How do I do business and pay on time!......???

To todays date 2018.07.17 the problem with on-line payments still has not been fixed. In fact the NIS portal shows that I have accumulated interest due to non-payment.....

The alternative payment will be through a bank transfer or a cheque posted to NIS since EZ-Pay is offline.
