This has been a long time concern of mine.
Travelling around Barbados on tour buses and on personal trips, from time to time I have had use the public toilet facilities. The ones that immediately come to mind are the Speightstown, East Coast Road and Bath Beach facilities.
On visiting these places the doors and walls are in need of painting and locks do not always work , some taps are broken and seat covers are missing , NO PAPER etc. There are always attendants around and I assume they are require to report when repairs are required. Cost to repairs of Toilets are Sinks as needed cannot be that great.
Suggestions
- The tour companies that use these facilities as bathroom breaks daily ,should contribute to maintenance so we can have pleasant places to use.
- A small fee may also be charge like is done in other countries.
