Most students in Barbados are digitally literate. Equipping these students with lectures that can be viewed as videos from home can facilitate more collaborative discussion, concept exploration, and will help bolster critical thinking and problem solving. A flipped classroom concept is not new but other exemplars have noted that it reduces some of the challenges of traditional classrooms — “such as limited instructional time, language barriers and ability to personalize content.”

A flipped environment can aid to increase better interaction between teachers and students and is also helpful  for attainment and all-round student success. Being able to personalize lessons and assessments that speak to differing learning styles , improving outcomes for "weaker students."

It is my suggestion to reach out to Master Teachers to deliver these lectures or videos on a national level as a way of creating a resource for children of all ages. This can be piloted in Math and English at first and then maybe go on to other subjects.  The teachers delivering the content would use the current curricula to ensure content is in keeping with the Government of Barbados.
