This is a suggestion to the above ministers. I am a community woman and this idea is not only for my parish St. Peter but  for us to see it as  a local and on a Internationals level. I believe since we have Holetown and Oinstin festival we need to have a Speigtown festival which we can go with the Theme. Speightstown festival Exploring our Culture and a Bridgetown festival with the Theme. Let us all unite our Passion for our Culture.

This will help the tourism board in marketing and having more activities to give to the international world instead of having crop over as one cultrual event this will give artist, artise, small business, entrepreneurs and the elderly to come and showcase what they have use in our environment to make they iteams and have it displayed. I have met some older persons who made stuff from items and cochet and has made money in the past we have to imprower people and motivate them in giving them that opportunity in letting the community know the culture starts with us the people.

I believe this opportunity can be use in the to invite clubs, athletes across the globe  to participate in the Run Barbados race and ending in speigtown with the climax of the festival where persons and business in speigtown can discuss in having a 100% Bajan Environmental  and Cultural sale or discount on that day. We can also have a cultural of steel pans, street parade with the police band and all the cadet cord on that day you also have a cultural fashion show and pageant which can be name a Show within a Show.

A flee market can be set up either in the Speightstown PTI carpark or the Speightstown playing feild this will allow persons who have items store up and did not have that opportunity to get it sold can take the chance in doing so now This can be seen on another level we can be the host for the pageant inviting persons to show case they culture here in Barbados.

The Hon. Mr. Trevor Prescod can use  get program or info to persons letting them know because it name garbage it doesn't mean that around the area where it is kept can't be Beautified and the garbage can be recycle and reuse. With all of this we will have a stronger country and a stronger people. Our tourism industry will have a more wider variety and package to give to the people who is looking for a country that is full of life.
