- Why do we need to continue with an expensive model of 30 elected members to the lower house? Why not reduce the number to 11 elected members, one per parish? The speaker will not be chosen for this number. The speaker will be independent of these elected persons. We have many eligible persons one of which can be chosen to fill this role. Cost savings -  will be immediate in many ways with 19 less members.

Some unlucky person would get St Philip, which is the largest and underdeveloped, and another would get St James. At the end of the month they would get equal pay.
