Rescuing Speightstown: the current vendor stalls at the beginning of church street need major refurbishing and that entire area needs a good clean. All the shop owners in Church and Queens Street, should be encourage to streamline their store fronts for a more cohesive “high-street” look.
The public and private transport systems should all be integrated into the current terminal, keeping the streets clear and less congested Re-direct the buses, which currently enter Speightstown via Highway 1. Go back to using Queens Street. This will encourage more foot traffic on that street, by both locals and tourist.
Major investment is needed, in the form of viable businesses and recreation. A permanently play-park similar to Coney Island, a bowling alley and a cinema, would be a good start.
