Get the young people off the streets - I suggest asking businesses to allow their full time employees to take their vacation leave during the summer periods leaving only a skeleton staff (where ever possible) and employ the UWI, BCC and SJPI students for the summer
This will give them an exposure to work, this is done all over the world,
The businesses actually gain because the wages they will pay the summer students is a far cry from the salaries they pay the full time staff , that way they open longer hours on a shift basis
