The country is now overrun with overgrowth especially of the river tamarind trees on lands that once produced food in varying forms. In some areas, usually on the hillside, grasses thrived as fodder for our animals.
I dare to suggest that some of the overgrowth be converted to mulch for our soil and litter for use in our chicken industry. And here is how. An employment opportunity in this regard can be made available to persons interested in acquiring "mulch machines" to produce the pulp particularly from the river tamarind forests and other suitable sources. By placing these machines in strategic locations, the product can be available at reasonable cost to farmers, while simultaneously clearing lands for food production.
A follow up restoration plan will of course have to be engineered to return the lands to food production.
