Occupational Health and Safety Section

The Occupational Safety and Health Section (Factory Inspectorate of the Labour Department) works with employers, employees and their representatives for the attainment and maintenance of desirable standards of occupational safety and health practice in Barbados. The Inspectorate comprises of a team of four Factory Inspectors, a Senior Factory Inspector and support staff. In addition to handling general safety and health matters, specialist skills in Occupational Hygiene, Ergonomics and Work Design reside with the team.
